"Crafted with care" means a LOT of things.
It means we're not ballparking your quote just to get it off our desk. It means we're not rushing through your project to get a quick payday. It means our installers take the time to do trim work that looks intentional, not slapped together. It means we clean up after ourselves, protect your landscaping, and treat your home the way we'd want someone to treat ours.
You'll see it in the details: perfectly mitered corners on your window trim, siding that lines up exactly right, flashing installed so water goes where it's supposed to. The kind of work that doesn't just function, but it looks good doing it.
We've been doing this in Wilson since 1987, and our reputation matters more to us than speed. Your neighbors will notice the difference, and so will you.
Sure do! We work with financing partners to offer flexible payment options, so you're not stuck paying for your entire project upfront. We'll walk you through what's available and help you find something that fits your budget.
PS - If you prefer to meet with a local banker, ask us for a referral!
It depends on what we're doing:
Entry door replacement: Usually a day
Window replacement: 1-2 days for most homes
Roof replacement: 1-2 days depending on size
Siding replacement: 3-8 days depending on size
We'll give you a specific timeline during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
We're based in Wilson and serve the surrounding area and counties for most services. However, for long jobs (e.g. full vinyl siding replacement) and those that require permitting (e.g. new addition to a home), we typically limit those jobs to Wilson County and parts of Nash County (purely due to logistics and travel).
Yes, whenever they're required. We handle all the permitting and make sure everything is up to code. You don't need to worry about the paperwork. We've got it covered
You call us. Even better, you know where to find us right there on Airport Blvd.
We stand behind our work and only choose materials with solid warranties. If something's not right, we'll come back and make it right. That's part of being a family business in Wilson... we're not going anywhere, and our reputation depends on your satisfaction.
Yes. We offer free, no-obligation consultations and estimates. We'll come out, assess your project, answer your questions, and give you a clear price. No pressure, no games.
We're pretty specialized, so there are some things we refer out to trusted partners:
Interior work – We focus on exteriors. If you need interior remodeling, we can point you to someone who does great work.
Emergency response – Fire and water damage require immediate specialized restoration that we're not equipped to handle. We can recommend professionals who respond 24/7 to those situations.
Complex structural repairs – Foundation issues, major framing problems, or structural engineering projects aren't our wheelhouse.
Small handyman jobs – We're set up for full installations and replacements, not minor repairs or maintenance tasks.
Commercial projects – We work exclusively with homeowners, not commercial properties.
If your project falls outside what we do, we'll be honest about it and can usually recommend someone who's a better fit. We'd rather send you to the right contractor than take on work we're not built for.
Put simply, we can't price fairly or work with care until we've seen your project ourselves.
Our motto, "Priced fair, crafted with care"isn't just words on our trucks. It's a commitment. And that commitment starts the moment you reach out.
Every home is different. Every window opening has its quirks. Every roofline tells a story. When someone calls and asks, "How much for new windows?" we could throw out a number. But that number wouldn't account for your home's specific framing, the condition of your sills, whether you want better energy efficiency or noise reduction, or a dozen other factors that affect both cost and quality.
We treat every job as a custom job... because it is.
That's why our process is designed around care and precision, not speed and shortcuts.
This is where we gather the information we need to give you an accurate quote.
We come to your home to measure and assess the project. For exterior work like roofing or window replacement, you don't even need to be home. We can do what we need from the outside.
For projects that require interior access (like entry door installations), we'll need you there to let us in. If you have questions while we're there, we're happy to answer them. But there's no sales pitch. This visit is purely about understanding your project so we can quote it accurately.
This assessment costs you nothing. For us, it's essential because we'd rather see the project ourselves than guess our way through it.
Of course! After the site assessment, we'll have the measurements and details we need. Now it's time for you to explore your options and pick what you love.
Visit our showroom to see and touch actual windows, siding, roofing materials, and mortarless stone. There's a big difference between looking at samples online and seeing how light hits a shingle or how a window operates in person.
Designing a door? Use our online 2D visualizer to customize your entry door and see it on a photo of your actual home. (We're also adding a door display to our showroom soon.)
This step is about making sure you're getting exactly what you want, not just what we happen to have in stock.
Once you've chosen your materials, we build a proposal that reflects your specific project, not a generic template.
This takes time, usually up to a week or more. We carefully consider every detail, verify measurements, account for your home's specific conditions, and ensure the pricing is fair and accurate.
This quote includes:
Exactly what we'll do
The materials you selected (and why they're a good fit)
A fair price based on the real scope of work
A timeline estimate
Quoting your job isn't instant, but it's certainly worth the wait.
We don't always need to, again, depending on the specific job and materials. However, once you've accepted the quote and we're ready to order materials, we may return to measure again before ordering materials or starting work (especially if it's an entry door or specialized windows).
Why? Because we'd rather measure twice and cut once.
Homes settle. Details matter. And custom work demands custom accuracy. This second measurement ensures that when we show up to install, everything fits exactly as it should the first time.
Most materials arrive within 4-6 weeks of ordering. Once they're in, we'll contact you to coordinate a start date that works with your schedule.
From there, we show up ready to execute with the level of craftsmanship Kenco has been known for since 1987.
Our crew treats your home with respect. We protect your property, clean up thoroughly, and don't leave until the work meets our standard... which, spoiler alert, is high.
And if something unexpected comes up during installation (because sometimes it does in older homes), we talk to you about it immediately. No surprises on the final bill.
We appreciate you thinking of us, but this is one we have to pass on. Kenco only installs products sourced through our own trusted suppliers. That's not just a policy, it's how we protect you.
When something is installed in your home, the product and the installation have to work together. If an issue comes up down the road, we need to be able to stand behind both. With our suppliers, we have real relationships: we can pick up the phone, troubleshoot the problem, and make it right. With a product we didn't source, we simply don't have that. We'd be putting our name on something we can't fully vouch for, and that's not a position we're willing to be in on your behalf.
If you have a product you'd like installed, a skilled handyman is likely your best fit for that kind of work. We're happy to point you in the right direction... just reach out and we'll refer you to someone we trust.
